With a background in textile engineering from Romania, Irina brings a rare mix of technical knowledge, creativity, and hands-on craftsmanship to every piece she creates. Through her studies, she learned the science behind fabrics, from how they are made to how they move, stretch, react, and perform. That understanding still guides her today, helping her choose quality materials that feel comfortable, hold their shape, and support athletes through every routine.

What began as a love for fabric, design, and handmade detail has grown into a family-run gymnastics apparel brand. Irina creates custom leotards, shorts, grip bags, scrunchies, and competition-ready pieces that help athletes feel confident, comfortable, and ready to shine.

Every design is made with care, from the first stitch to the final Swarovski crystal. Behind the scenes, Irina works closely with her husband to bring each order to life. Together, they manage the details, timelines, and customer care needed to make sure every piece is completed on time and every customer feels supported.

Based in Belle River, Ontario, Mystique Design proudly serves athletes, families, and teams across Ontario and beyond. When Irina is not sewing or designing, she loves spending time in her garden, walking her two mini poodles, and cooking delicious Romanian meals for her family.
